For lovers of the Sahara and its dunes, this trip offers a true immersion in the heart of the desert sands of erg Chebi. From Marrakech, the itinerary continues the route of the 1000 kasbah, to reach the south east of Erfoud, the starting point of the hike. In addition to hiking in the dunes, you will discover the palm groves of Skoura, Tafillalte and Draa.

Day 1 : Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech, reception at the airport and then transfer to your hotel. Free meal, Night in a double room in your hotel.

Day 2 : Tichka Pass / Ait Benhadou / Skoura

Departure by minibus to the south via the high Atlas by the picturesque Tichka pass 2260m, then down to the plateau of Ouarzazate, through the valley of Ounila, visit of beautiful Ksar of Ait Benhadou, and then towards Ouarzazate and the Palm grove of Skoura, Dinner and night in an inn in this beautiful palm grove.

Day 3 : Tinghir / Erfoud / The small dunes

Early morning transfer by minibus to Erfoud via the Dades valley, Tinghir and Tinjdad palm grove. Meet with our team of camel drivers after Erfoud. Small walk to reach our place of bivouac in the small dunes. 30 min walk.

Day 4 : Oued Nejakh / Oasis Tisserdmine / Arg n'Amaer

Direction full east, We cross the small dunes of the wadi Nejjakht and then towards the oasis of Tisserdimine for lunch before continuing towards our bivouac at the feet of rich n Amer . 5 hours walk.

Day 5 : Arg moulay Amer / Bou yerd

Passing through the erg de moulay Amer and then along the erg Chebbi we pass through the erg and climb onto one of the highest dunes of the erg ( 170 m high) for the sunset. Bivouac in the middle of the erg not far from Bou Yerhd. 5 hours walk.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi / Hassi Merdani

Hike in the heart of erg Chebbi towards the south, climb the highest dune of the erg before continuing to join our bivouac in Hassi Merdani. 4h30 walking.

Day 7 : Merzouga / Rissani Dunes / The Draa Valley

We cross the huge erg of Merzouga and End of the hike towards the village of Merzouga. Departure to Rissani by minibus and then by the road of the oases of the south of Djabel Saghro, arrived at the valley of Draa at the end of the day, installation in a hostel towards the village of Agdez. Dinner and overnight at the hostel.

Day 8 : Ouarzazate / Tichka Pass / Marrakech

After breakfast, departure towards the north by the Tinififte pass and then pa passage to Ouarzazate and the Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech around 16h, installation in your hotel.

Day 9: Transfer to Marrakech airport

Important :

This itinerary is given as an indication, for various reasons due to inclement weather or others, your guide may have to make changes on the program, if necessary, for the smooth running of your trip.

Formalities :

A passport valid for 3 months from the day of entry into Morocco is required (essential), for nationals of the European Community (no visa).

For minors, they must have their own passport.

If the child travels with someone other than his or her parents :

 An authorization or a legalized letter to the mayor indicating that their parents allow their child to go on a trip with the person accompanying him / her.

Health :

It is about being in good physical condition. During the hike, it is necessary to be self-sufficient and take with you a medicine kit (dressings, aspirin, anti-inflammatory, antibiotics, anti-diarrhea, total screen, lip balm, disinfectant tablets, eye drops).

Water and drinks :

For this hike, the supply of water is made in wells, its treatment is recommended (type Micropur). Tea is served at noon (except for stages where the camels do not follow the same route as the group) and at the arrival of the stage. In the evening a tea is offered after the meal. The use of water is limited for the toilet especially in the desert.

Portage :

Each participant walks on foot with a light backpack, containing only the personal belongings necessary for the day (gourd, camera, pharmacy kit ...). The remainder of the equipment and equipment of the bivouac, as well as the refueling, are transported according to your trip by the camels.

Framing :

A professional  guide certified by the Mountain Trades Training Center (CFAMM) will accompany you for all our treks. Depending on the trip, you will be assisted by a team of camel drivers and cook.

You will be notified of the schedule and venue with your guide.

Money and tips :

Currency is the Dirham. 1 € = 10.60 Dh.

Allow cash to pay for your drinks and meals if not included in the estimate, and for tips for the team accompanying you during your hike / trip.

Accommodation :

To better enjoy the outdoors and nature, we opted for the formula "Bivouac" as accommodation. The places of our bivouacs are chosen according to several criteria: the beauty of the site, the calm, the safety, the proximity of a water point .... We provide two-seater tents with foam mattress with sleeping cover, mess tents for the evening meal, floor mats, cutlery and kitchen items. 2 Nights in hostels in Skoura and Agdez.

In the city of Marrakech: 2 Nights in a 3 * hotel (based on Moroccan classification), in a double or triple room. There is possibility in single room / tent for an extra charge.

Clothing and small items :

It is necessary to wear good quality shoes "hiking in the mountains". It is hot during the day but the nights can be cool. It is therefore advisable to provide outfits accordingly: Anorak - polar - jogging - T-shirts - Bermudas - hat or chèque, and sunglasses. For winter walks: gloves and hats will be welcome especially in the evening and in the early morning.

Headlamp, spare bulbs and batteries, lighter to burn litter, sunscreen cream for skin and lips, toiletries, toilet paper, wipes for cleaning.

Meals :

During the hike they are prepared by a cook. Made with fresh products, they are mainly composed of salads cooked in midday and local dishes in the evening (couscous, tagine ...). A full breakfast is served outdoors or in tents before starting the day. During the bivouacs and for more comfort, meals are served every night in the mess tent. Dry fruits (dates, dried figs, peanuts & pralines) are offered to the participants during the hike.

Materials to be provided :

Cloisonne sleeping bag, normal use 0 to -5 ° C - Hiking sticks especially for downhill - tennis or sandal with good soles - Gloves and hat for treks of altitudes and hikes in December and January especially for the Evening - A cape of rain.

Travel and Transportation :

Transfers are carried out in taxi, in group-reserved minibuses, or private 4x4. For your comfort and safety all vehicles have a tourist transport approval.
