To the south of Ouarzazate, Oued Draa irrigates a magnificent palm grove to the village of M'Hamid El ghizlane, before disappearing in the sands, creating one of the most beautiful desert landscapes of Morocco. During this hike of the varied and magnificent landscapes are at the rendezvous: Palmeraies, Dunes, dry Oueds ...

The palm grove of Oued Draa - The dunes of Erg Zaher, Erg Sdrare, Erg El Aabedlya and Erg Elghoule. Total immersion in the dunes for more than a week. Guided by a French-speaking guide and a team of Berber camel drivers.

Day 1 : Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech airport, welcome and transfer to your hotel.

 Day 2 : Col de Tichka / Ait Benhadou / Ouarzazate / Agdez

 Departure for a day of discovery by comfortable minibus, passage through the Tichka pass 2260m, visit of magnificent Ksar of Ait Benhadou classified world heritage of the humanity. And then departure for Ouarzazate and agdez. Dinner and overnight in a hostel. 5h30 of road and 1h to 2h of walk.

 Day 3 : Draa valley / Ouled Driss / Ras Nkhel

We leave for the Drâa valley which we walk along for 200 km. Passage by Agdz, Zagora and Taggounit, go with our team of camel drivers to Oulad Driss. Beginning of the hike through the palm grove. Bivouac at the edge of the palm grove of M'Hamid. 4h of road and 3h of walk.

 Day 4 : Ras Nkhel / Ait Ounir

Departure to the west, passing by dried wadis strewn with tamarix, picnic lunch before continuing towards our bivouac in the small dunes of Aït Ounir. 6 hours of walking.

 Day 5 : Erg Zaher

Always to the southwest along the wadi Drâa, passing through the beautiful and high dunes of erg Zaher. Bivouac at the foot of the dunes. 5h30 walking.

 Day 6 : Erg Smar / Erg Sdrart

We cross the wadi Drâa and change direction for the north. Lunch towards erg Smar, before continuing towards the dune massif of Sedrat. Bivouac in the dunes of erg Sedrar. 5 hours walk.

 Day 7 : Aouinate Naji

Passing by Khart el Ghrzime, before arriving at the immense um dune of chountouf, hike in the middle of the dunes, we join our last bivouac in Aouinate Naji. 4h30 walking.

 Day 8: Aouinat El kahla / Erg Elaabidlya

Our cape is the highest dune in this region: the dune of Elaabidlya, from the top of the dunne a magnificent view over the entire dune massif of Chgaga Bivouac northwest of the dunes of El aabidlya. 4h30 walking.

 Day 9: Erg El Ghoule

The djabel bani to the north, we continue our hike to the north west, passing through several dry lakes, we join our last bivouac at the foot of beautiful massif dune Erg el ghoule. 5 hours walk.

 Day 10 : Lake Irriki / Foum Zguid / Tichka Pass / Marrakech

After breakfast, our vehicle joins us, and adorned one last small walk, we go to Foum zguid and then transfer back to Marrakech. Arrival at the end of the day in Marrakech. Overnight at your hotel. Free dinner.

 Day 11 : Marrakech

Free day to visit this beautiful ocher city.

 Day 12 : Transfer to the airport of Marrakech

Important :

This itinerary is given as an indication, for various reasons due to inclement weather or others, your guide may have to make changes on the program, if necessary, for the smooth running of your trip.

Formalities :

A passport valid for 3 months from the day of entry into Morocco is required (essential), for nationals of the European Community (no visa).

For minors, they must have their own passport.

If the child travels with someone other than his or her parents :

An authorization or a legalized letter to the mayor indicating that their parents allow their child to go on a trip with the person accompanying him / her.

Health :

It is about being in good physical condition. During the hike, it is necessary to be self-sufficient and take with you a medicine kit (dressings, aspirin, anti-inflammatory, antibiotics, anti-diarrhea, total screen, lip balm, disinfectant tablets, eye drops).

Water and drinks :

For this hike, the water supply is made in wells, its treatment is recommended (type Micropur). Tea is served at noon (except for stages where the camels do not follow the same route as the group) and at the arrival of the stage. In the evening a tea is offered after the meal. The use of water is limited for the toilet.

Portage :

Each participant walks on foot with a light backpack, containing only the personal belongings necessary for the day (gourd, camera, pharmacy kit ...). The remainder of the equipment and the equipment of bivouac, as well as the refueling, are transported by the camels ..

Framing :

 A professional  guide certified by the Mountain Trades Training Center (CFAMM) will accompany you for all our treks .             You will be assisted by a team of camel drivers and cook.

You will be notified of the schedule and venue with your guide.

Money and tips :

Currency is the Dirham. 1 € = 10.60 Dh.

Allow cash to pay for your drinks and meals if not included in the estimate, and for tips for the team accompanying you during your hike / trip.

Accommodation :

To better enjoy the outdoors and nature, we opted for the formula "Bivouac" as accommodation. The places of our bivouacs are chosen according to several criteria: the beauty of the site, calmness, security .... We provide two-seater tents with foam mattress with sleeping cover, mess tents for the evening meal, floor mats, cutlery and kitchen items. A night in a hostel in the draa valley is planned in this program.

In the city of Marrakech: Nights in 3 * hotel (based on Moroccan classification), in a double or triple room. There is possibility in single room / tent for an extra charge.

Clothing and small items :

It is necessary to wear good quality shoes "hiking in the mountains". It is hot during the day but the nights can be cool. It is therefore advisable to provide outfits accordingly: Anorak - polar - jogging - T-shirts - Bermudas - hat or chèque, and sunglasses. For winter walks: gloves and hats will be welcome especially in the evening and in the early morning.

Headlamp, spare bulbs and batteries, lighter to burn litter, sunscreen cream for skin and lips, toiletries, toilet paper, wipes for cleaning.

Meals :

During the hike they are prepared by a cook. Made with fresh products, they are mainly composed of salads cooked in midday and local dishes in the evening (couscous, tagine ...). A full breakfast is served outdoors or in tents before starting the day. During the bivouacs and for more comfort, meals are served every night in the mess tent. Dry fruits (dates, dried figs, peanuts & pralines) are offered to the participants during the hike.

Materials to be provided :

Cloisonne sleeping bag, normal use 0 to -5 ° C - Hiking sticks especially for mountain descents - tennis or sandal with good soles - Gloves and hat for hiking in December and January especially for the evening - A cape of rain.

Travel and Transportation :

Transfers are carried out in taxi, in group-reserved minibuses, or private 4x4. For your comfort and safety all vehicles have a tourist transport approval.

Always ask for permission before photographing a person.

It is forbidden to photograph or film anything that is military.

Digital cameras: Have enough memory and batteries.
