Trekking with mules. Ascension of two summits over 4000m (Taroukhte and the Toubkal)
An original trek, in the heart of which you will discover the high valleys that shelter Berber villages made of ocher and brown, pastures, lakes, passes, crests and summits.

The high valleys of the Atlas - A complete trek - Lake Ifni - The sheepfolds of altitude - 2 peaks exceeding 4000m.

Day 1 : Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech, welcome and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : Aguerssioual / Assarou n Tachdirte

Early departure by minibus to Tahnaoute, Asni and the valley of Ait Mizane. We find our mule team to Aguer Sioual, at 1530 m altitude. Pass of the Aguersioual pass at 1900 m, then down to the valley of Imnane, picnic lunch under the walnut trees. In the afternoon, climb to Tachedirt, we set up the bivouac at 2300 m. 4h30 walking. 1h30 of road. Difference in altitude: + 1150m, -200m

Day 3 : Lkemnt / Azib Tinzart

Pass A long zig-zag climb to reach the Tizi n'Lkemt pass 3500m, then descend to the Azibs of Tinzar (2450m) bivouac not far from the river. 6h30 walking. Difference in altitude: + 1200m, -1050m

Day 4 : Taroukhte / Aourai

Summit Very early in the morning we begin our ascent (off-road itinerary) to reach the ridges of the djebel Taroukht and the summit of the same name to 4001 m. This one offers a very beautiful point of view towards the south and the solid mass of the Siroua and also towards the summit of Toubkal. Descent to Tizi n'Ouraï (3100 m) to reach the bivouac at 2900 m. 8 hours of walking. Difference in altitude: + 1550m, -1000m

Day 5 : Aourai / Amssouzert / Lake Ifni

After the Ourai pass, we descend to the village of Tissaldai, and Amssouzerte. We have lunch (picnic) near the village of Tigmi n Igrane before climbing towards the lake of Sidi Ifni. The bivouac is established near a lake at 2300m altitude. 6h30 walking. Difference in altitude: + 700m, -1300m

Day 6 : Col de Ouanomss / Neltner

We climb towards the pass of Tizi n 'Ouanoumss 3650 m which offers a beautiful panoramic sight on the massif of n Ouanoukrim. After lunch we continue our way to join our bivouac at the foot of Toubkal at 3200m. 6 hours of walking. Difference in altitude: + 1300m, -400m

Day 7 : Summit Toubkal / Imi n 'Tamlalte

We climb the Toubkal (4167 m) and descend to the bivouac established at Imi'n'Tamlilte (2700 m), just before the holy village of Sidi Chamharouch. 6h30 walking. Difference in altitude: + 1050m, -1200m

Day 8 : Sidi Chamharouch / Imlil / Marrakech

Descent to Imlil (1700 m) in the morning. Picnic. Meet with minibuses and return to Marrakech. (3 hours walk and 2 hours drive). Installation in your Riad in the medina Marrakech. Difference in altitude: + 50m, - 1100m

Day 9: Free day in Marrakech.

Free day to visit this beautiful ocher city. Night in your riad in the medina of Marrakech

Day 10 : Transfer to the airport.

Important :

This itinerary is given as an indication, for various reasons due to inclement weather or others, your guide may have to make changes on the program, if necessary, for the smooth running of your trip.

Bivouac under tents and comfortable hotel in Marrakech

Formalities :

A passport valid for 3 months from the day of entry into Morocco is required (essential), for nationals of the European Community (no visa).

For minors, they must have their own passport.

If the child is traveling with someone other than his or her parents :

An authorization or a legalized letter to the mayor indicating that their parents allow their child to go on a trip with the person accompanying him / her.

Health :

It is about being in good physical condition. During the hike, it is necessary to be self-sufficient and take with you a medicine kit (dressings, aspirin, anti-inflammatory, antibiotics, anti-diarrhea, total screen, lip balm, disinfectant tablets, eye drops).

Water and drinks :

For this trek, the supply of water is made in sources, its treatment is recommended (type Micropur). Tea is served at noon (except for the stages where the mules do not follow the same route as the group) and at the arrival of stage. In the evening a tea is offered after the meal.

Portage :

Each participant walks on foot with a light backpack, containing only the personal belongings necessary for the day (gourd, camera, pharmacy kit ...). The rest of the equipment and the equipment of bivouac, as well as the refueling, are transported according to your journey by the mules.

Framing :

A professional guide certified by the Mountain Trades Training Center (CFAMM) will accompany you for all our treks.              You will be assisted by a team of cook muleteers.

You will be notified of the schedule and venue with your guide.

Money and tips :

Currency is the Dirham. 1 € = 10.60 Dh.

Allow cash to pay for your drinks and meals if not included in the estimate, and for tips for the team accompanying you during your hike / trip.

Accommodation :

To better enjoy the outdoors and nature, we opted for the formula "Bivouac" as accommodation. The places of our bivouacs are chosen according to several criteria: The beauty of site, the calm, the security, the proximity of a water point .... We provide two-seater tents with foam mattress with sleeping cover, mess tents for the evening meal, floor mats, cutlery and kitchen items.

In the city of Marrakech: nights in a 3 * hotel (based on Moroccan classification), in a double or triple room. There is possibility in single room / tent for an extra charge.

Clothing and small items :

It is necessary to wear good quality shoes "hiking in the mountains". It is hot during the day but the nights can be cool. It is therefore advisable to provide outfits accordingly: Anorak - polar - jogging - t-shirts - bermudas - hat or chèque, and sunglasses, gloves and hat will be welcome especially in the evening and early morning.

Headlamp, spare bulbs and batteries, lighter to burn litter, sunscreen for skin and lips, toiletries, toilet paper, wipes.

Meals :

During the trek they are prepared by a cook. Made with fresh products, they are mainly composed of salads cooked in midday and local dishes in the evening (couscous, tagine ...). A full breakfast is served outdoors or in tents before starting the day. During the bivouacs and for more comfort, meals are served every night under the mess tent. Dry fruits (dates, dried figs, peanuts & pralines) are offered to the participants during the hike.

Materials to be provided :

Cloisonne sleeping bag, normal use 0 to -5 ° C - Hiking sticks especially for mountain descents - tennis or sandal with good soles - A rain cape.

Travel and Transportation :

Transfers are carried out in taxi, in group-reserved minibuses, or private 4x4. For your comfort and safety all vehicles have a tourist transport approval.

Always ask for permission before photographing a person.

It is forbidden to photograph or film anything that is military.
